The Earth seen from Space in Time-Lapse

These wonderful time-lapse sequences were taken by Ron Garan, Satoshi Furukawa and the crew of expeditions 28 & 29 onboard the International Space Station from August to October 2011 and edited by Michael König.

  1. It is wonderful, yes!
    But it is also frightening how vastly lit huge parts of the earth are by artificial light.
    Have you ever looked at the milkyway in remote areas? This is truly captivating.
