Answering the question “How can we use less material for our business cards?” in order to preserve natural ressources, Antrepo Design Industry uses the same business card for all its members. This does not only help to protect the environment, but also brings a personal touch to their business cards by handwriting the personal information. In my opinion definitely a concept to copy!
Taxicabs are characteristic for the country or even the city they are from. Antrepo Design Industry (Istanbul) offers a nice set of 4 citycab posters: Black style taxicab from London, Yellowcab from New York City, Panelvan style from Istanbul, VW Beetle from Mexico City.
The photograph of famous designer Philippe Starck in my last post (the first picture in the gallery) reminded my of his talk at TED 2007. Without using any slides, he spends 18 minutes reaching for the very roots of the question “Why design?”. At the same time his speech is funny, unsettling and inspiring. I like!

Californya by Germán Olaya is the first script font family I’ve seen that convincingly looks like handwritten calligraphy rather than computer-generated typeface.
Californya is based on several manuscripts from 16th century, and completely reinterpreted with a vast series of characters drawn by hand. Each character is full of rich details, capturing the expression and style of a true calligraphy.
